We chose a rectangular stainless steel undermount sink for our new outdoor kitchen space and I already love the direction it’s going. The sharp, clean lines give it a really modern look and it feels like it’s going to elevate the entire setup. The size is exactly what I was looking for and should provide plenty of usable space for prepping and cleaning outdoors. The front offset drain was a big selling point since it keeps it out of the main working area and makes the basin feel more open and functional. I also love that it includes a drain basket, such a simple but thoughtful detail. We did hit a minor setback with our timeline so it’s still in the box and not installed yet, but I’ll be sharing updated photos as soon as it’s in place. We had this sink installed with our kitchen remodel in June 2018. It was beautiful. However, after 6 months of use, we're very unhappy with the quality. The sink scratches fairly easily. Yes, the manufacturer instructions say to not to this or not do that, clean only following the grain, etc. We’ve owned two other homes with a stainless steel sink and are not using this Elkay sink any different than the others. We never had the scratches on the other sinks that we do with this one and we do follow manufacturers instructions on cleaning and care. Very disappointing.
