This flatware is designed for commercial use, heavy 18/8 stainless steel. Handling instructions: Do not soak in water with other metal objects. Carefully clean after use. Wash in hot water with non-abrasive non-corrosive cleaning agent. Rinse in water of at least 180 degrees. A wetting agent or water softener may be required if using water with high mineral content. Avoid prolonged contact with acid substances (ex. lemon/vinegar) Avoid using cleaning solutions containing ammonia or lemon. Avoid using any form of chlorine bleach which will discolor stainless steel. Dry immediately.

I got this in Matte Black and they are so simple while still looking modern. Ordered 30 and some came a little scratched on the sides and underside, but I'm not docking any stars for that because no one will ever see those. Pricey but worth it! I searched and searched for flatware NOT MADE IN CHINA! It was very difficult! Most familiar names (and those that used to be associated with quality) are not made in America anymore. For example: Reed and Barton, Onida, Lenox, Micasa, Kate Spade. The quality of these aforementioned brands has decreased dramatically. I would have loved to buy American: yet, I only found one company aptly named Liberty.
