First opening the box, it looked to be a major undertaking. However it was a simple job. Just a few notes : some of the pieces are heavy, especially the umbrella holder and might need a second person. The raising and lowering handle was a bit tedious to line up the hole. This umbrella is fantastic and glides open and closed so easily. It was difficult to assemble though, and I had to hire a handyman. I’m usually pretty decent on my own, but this was cumbersome.
