Approximate how much area you want to shade. Triangle, square, or rectangle depends on the number of existing poles, roofs, trees, concrete walls, etc. Use cable wires to connect the shade sail to hardware if necessary. If you don’t use cable wires, keep a 0.5 - 2 ft space between D rings and poles to give space for the hardware kits that come with adjustable turnbuckles to tighten & create tension.

It is true to size, made from heavy-duty, durable material that feels built to last. The waterproof polyester with PU coating does a great job of blocking both water and UV rays. I live in Sunny South Florida, where the sun can be intense, and the dark color helps significantly in reducing heat and glare, making my outdoor space much more comfortable. I did notice that the actual color differs slightly from the product images. Overall, if you're looking for a sturdy and reliable outdoor tarp, this one delivers.
