The ClosetMaid Impressions Adjustable Teardrop Closet Rod allows you to customize the size to fit your closet's exact shape, expanding from 30 in. to 48 in. The teardrop design of the sturdy steel rod allows for a higher load capacity than a standard round bar. It also helps hangers slide easily. Add another rod to double-hang shirts over pants or hang high for longer items like dresses.

I installed the rods at exactly 48 inches. They feel lightweight but sturdy, and the hanging brackets feel sturdy too. The instructions were a little unclear, and I wasn’t sure what the extra screws were for, but I was able to install them. If you have the space, I’d recommend choosing a larger size for more support in the middle. I don’t plan to pack mine tightly; I’ll use them for my seasonal and most-worn clothes.. Kahrla_g. Ig. Downrod for ceiling fans.

I ordered 2 brackets in the color bronze. The brackets are heavy duty, and you can tell they’re made with quality materials. These are going to be perfect for our heavy drapes. However, I will caution you against the color. We ordered the bronze but it arrived more like a chocolate brown color. There were hardly any visible metallic undertones as you would expect in a bronze item. We were able to sand them and paint them using some bronze spray paint we had on hand, so they work - but be careful when choosing your color.. Richard. Rockingham, VA. Wed Oct 14 2026
