(The trick is to not tighten the bolts until all have been inserted halfway in their respected places.) We spend a lot of time around this table, and we feel they will stand the test of time. We purchased 6 of these chairs. The chairs looked like a much heavier chair online than what they are. They are poorly made and finished. The glue is showing, there are rough areas that should have been sanded and splinters. Where the up and down pieces fit into the chair back, there are open spaces around like the holes were made too big for them to fit properly. Perhaps the reason for all the glue?
