Sometimes I spend so much time looking for the right home items that I forget what my own style is anymore. Maybe you can’t LOVE everything in your home, and you just need to choose some basic pieces that are going to be functional and fade into the background? Well, this lamp was my reminder that I do not actually need to compromise so often. This lamp was an instant YES - Add to cart, come home with me, I will make a place for you, lamp! The design and quality of this lamp are much higher than I expected I could afford. It’s a petite lamp that feels better suited for a console table or desk than for an end table or nightstand. I have it on a counter-height shelf between two rooms right now and it works well. It takes two candelabra sized bulbs. The shade is solid and ceramic, so light does not go through it. The finial and fittings are brass and look high-end. The glazed stripes are so fun, and the 2-color options evoked circus tent or beach umbrella vibes - but I had to choose the greens and blues because they felt the most like me. The top of the lampshade and the inside are a plain glazed white, so I do think the lamp looks better when you’re not looking down on top of the shade.
