I really can’t give a fair review yet as 2 pieces were missing to put the fixture together ( so I took away a star). It is a ‘hard’ plastic (aka acrylic) and looks a bit complicated to put together. I will rewrite a review once it’s up. ** update- We finally installed the fixture and it was very difficult to do so as the space between the ring and the base and the ceiling was very narrow.
