The hybrid construction also gives it a more substantial feel than I expected for the price. I also like that it sleeps fairly temperature-neutral. The cooling gel layer seems to help, especially compared to traditional memory foam mattresses that can trap heat. The reason I gave it 4 stars is that it was a little firmer than I initially expected, so it may take some time to break in depending on your preference. It’s still comfortable, just not as plush as some buyers might assume. This king-size mattress (medium firm) in a box was a good choice! The top material is a nice grey color, with a honeycomb padding which is a nice change from the old fashion white mattresses. Once fully expanded out of the box it puffed up almost completely, however I let it sit for 24 hours as instructed prior to sleeping on it. The upper layer of pillow top has a cooling feature which actually is exactly as described! I discovered this feature the first night sleeping on it.
