My guinea pigs are loving it so far. But to be clear you have to order the top separate (that’s why I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5). The product specification when I bought said “Removable top: yes” which why I ordered from Wayfair instead of amazon. However, top does not come with it. So far this is working out for our hamster. We made the bottom section a big burrowing area with paper bedding and just made it lower by the doors so it didn't fall out if we needed to open it. This is one of the only cages that was close to the recommended sizes for a hamster and it was able to fit everything we planned. I wish every screw hole was pre drilled but being careful and using a drill I was able to make it work. Taking the film off one of the glass sides was harder to take off but was able to manage..
