I really like this desk. I think its great. However, I only recommended it for those ready for the technical and physical challenges and have the skills, time, and patience for assembling things like this. The instructions describe the general order of assembly and are insufficient on certain details. It comes in five boxes, so be sure to do a complete inventory before starting. I spent more than 24 hours (with break times) for unpacking, inventory, and assembly, including getting the drawers and doors operating smoothly to running, wrapping, and placement of power, video, and data cables so that they are just right. I really love the way this looks once assembled. Assembly was fairly straightforward just a bit tedious. The instructions could be better in particular the illustrations. The only negative I have is that mine have a gap between them. I adjusted the foot pegs on each to make sure they were balance and that is what I got. When I saw the top arriving in two halves, I was immediately concerned. Fortunately, they fit together securely. The photo is meant to show not only the split, but also the surface, which has a lot of beautiful grain, but is also quite rough. I will add a glass surface. I love the heavy, solid legs. There were two very minor defects. One was a split that was solidified with a screw during the normal assembly process. The other is at a corner and is virtually invisible. Large Office Desk with Drawer

Plenty of leg room underneath (my other desk made me feel confined). The assembly took 2 of us about a half a day and some of the pictures were a little hard to read. But we got it done and it was surprisingly more sturdy than what I usually end up with when assembling. I would have liked it to be even heavier, but you get what you pay for.
