I really love the way this looks once assembled. Assembly was fairly straightforward just a bit tedious. The instructions could be better in particular the illustrations. The only negative I have is that mine have a gap between them. I adjusted the foot pegs on each to make sure they were balance and that is what I got. We purchased the white shelving with gold supports. The quality is very good, and the set up was pretty easy - it probably took my husband and I about an hour and a half to put together, there are just a lot of parts! I was surprised that handles are silver, and not gold - looking back at the listing, this is how they were shown, I just didn't notice. It's a shame, because every other visible finish, even on the fasteners, matches the gold supports. Our daughter hasn't commented on it, so hopefully it's not a big deal - if it is, we'll have to try to find replacement handles. The brightness is adjustable, which makes it great for softer nighttime lighting. I personally don’t use the touch slider controls very often because it also comes with a remote, which is honestly really convenient since I can adjust the lights without getting out of bed. We specifically bought this bookcase because the description stated the shelves were metal. Upon arrive, however, the shelves were MDF (manufactured wood) which is the very thing we were trying to avoid. The item arrived in two packages. The assembly instructions were fairly clear other than the teeny-tiny text. Assembly was frustrating at the beginning. Felt as if I needed three more arms to get all the holes to line up. It's just a series of bolts and nuts but getting them aligned was a process. It got easier as more pieces were added to the frame. In decorating my psychotherapy office space I was looking for a very large imposing bookshelf because the space itself is 18' x 15' with ceilings that are over 12 feet tall. And so this item seemed perfect and was far less than the $2000-$3000 items I was able to find elsewhere. Who has that sorta money lol. Note, this took quite some time for my spouse and I to put together and in the future I'd just hired Taskrabbit for 50 bucks to do it. Delivery was very fast. Packaging was good enough that even when FedEx left it in slight rain, nothing was damaged. Was simple to put together and only took me about an hour. I had my son hold the shelves up while I fastened them but I could have done it on my own by laying the shelf down. Beautiful color that matched exactly to the rest of my furniture, including some smaller shelves from Wayfair for another part of my room. Only issue was one of the bottom frame pieces was marked wrong (C instead of D) so I had to take that apart and redo it but not a big deal. The last picture with the plant is after I put the safety wall fasteners on. I opted to use black ties instead of the white that were included so they were less obvious.
