I originally had the Nostalgie I bought a little over two years ago. I had a lot of trouble, such as loud ventilations fans (that sounded like an emergency broadcast signal), uneven cooking, temperature swings of over 100 degrees, not all burners working, and misaligned doors that resulted in the small oven door opening whenever the large oven door was opened. All these problems have been fixed. The ventilation fans are super quiet. The burners work great. The temperature is even throughout (baking a cake was the test) and the oven temp is rock solid (I didn't even see the temperature change at all during the 15 minutes that I was monitoring it with a temperature probe.) Of course the great thing that hasn't changed about the Nostalgie is its looks, which has always been the case and is obvious just by looking at the photo. I LOVE THIS! It is easy to install. It comes with a plug-in so you plug it into the outlet in your cabinet. It is very powerful and runs smoothly. This is a brushed stainless. There are two lights on it. There are three areas underneath where you remove them to keep them clean and they are not the flimsy type. This is a great quality event definitely not cheap looking!. The variable temperature and pressure settings allow you to adjust the warmth and intensity of the spray. The Proline range hood comes with a blower that can run quietly at 400 CFM but is powerful enough at 1100 CFM, its maximum setting. Blower and fan come completely installed and factory tested. Easy to change stainless baffle filters, elegant design, and efficient touch glass controls.

I have had this installed and in operation for about 6 months. The unit arrived undamaged and on schedule. The installation was ok but the mounting brackets of the unit are a little under designed. I added addition bracket to help secure the weight as it is not light. Be sure to consider that you need to plumb in venting that is at least 10" in diameter to carry the 900 cfm.
