This came in an extra large box and was packed with styrofoam very well no dents or damage. This was a heavy package so I greatly appreciate the delivery person bringing it all the way for my front door. This hood range is a beautiful stainless steel and has push button touch screen an is a very high end product unfortunately I didn’t measure correctly and 36 inches was to big for my space…. The only way to mount and make it work would have been to cut or replace mycabinets and I’m definitely not doing that. Next time I’ll measure better. This was apart of a tried an true review.. The power on the Fotile range hood is excellent. For most cooking, I stay on the first 2 out of 3 fan settings. For high smoke activities such as seasoning a wok or searing steak, the 3rd settings is more than enough to suck up all the fumes. The fan speeds are all pretty quiet. There are many pros about this range hood. First, it’s heavy duty - far heavier and sturdier than my previous one. Second, it’s all metal, even the filters, and includes a grease trap, which is a big bonus feature. The fan levels are great and it’s much quieter than our previous hood but definitely powerful. So far we are loving this upgrade. We did not use the vent hose it came with but bought an all metal one at our local home store for better greasefire protection. I will say the directions are somewhat lacking, however, if the person installing it knows what they’re doing, it shouldn’t be a problem. A very good range/stove that we have used for the last year. It has a few idiosyncrasies to which we have become accustomed. The clock is ridiculously hard to set. We have to look it up every time the time/date changes. There is no automated option. No smart connection for this unit at all, which is a plus and a minus. The power is insanely good. It can boil water so fast. The oven is very even. The unit feels solid. Placing a pot on an unused hob will result in a clicking noise that happens every few seconds. At first this drove me nuts, but now it's fine. The induction is fairly loud, especially when placed at a high level. The stainless steel scratches fairly easily. At first this was annoying, but now it's a kind of patina. This thing gets some serious use daily and I'm okay with it. Delivery was uneventful. I did need to make some mods to my electrical outlet but that was no big deal. Cost me $200 to get an electrician out. Make sure you have the outlets and plugs that you want/need in advance.. Adam. I am anxious for the completion of the kitchen remodel. Once the hood is ready to be installed, this will be the perfect insert based upon size.
