It looks great. But price is so high. Make sure you have brick wall in your house because it is very heavy also no instructions for drywall. We are very satisfied with the Farmhouse Murphy Bed. The actual product is well represented online, including the color. It took my husband about 12 hours to assemble by himself. It would go a bit faster with a second person. There were a lot of pieces and he did follow the instructions which were well written. The only reason 4 vs 5 stars due to the following: assembly time (it still would take a while for 2 people to assemble) and the cabinet would look better with screw caps giving it a finished look. No one has slept on it yet, but assume it will be fairly comfortable for guests. We would have gone with a thicker mattress but followed the guidelines to make sure the cabinet would close. The slats seem to support the mattress. We hope the mattress does not slide around too much once someone tries to sleep on it. The bed does have to be weighted down to keep it from rising off the floor if no one is on the bed. See photos showing foot of bed not weighted down and weighted down with ankle weights. We plan to place a side table to offer a night stand. The small shelf looks a bit flimsy, so we will be cautious. I am not very tall and was able to open and close with ease. Comes in 4 boxes, received 2 on one day the other 2 the next day. Really nice set, pretty happy with it. Couple of extras that we are doing to it, the brackets to hold the frame to the wall can be seen when bed is down just going to paint them white to make it less noticeable. The barrel of the hinge for the shelf can be seen when the bed is in the up postion. Definitely need to support the bed frame to the wall and into the studds a must. This is very well made and heavy (cast iron?). I'm giving 4 stars because I bought this door knocker to use as a door knocker, but it arrived without holes to mount ( 'holes' are filled-in with cast iron ), so I couldn't mount my door knocker as a door knocker, so I repurposed my door knocker into a door stop and I'm very happy now with my new door stop... that can also be used as a floor knocker (if I had downstairs neighbors, it would be a fun way to annoy them).. The Full Murphy bed can be used every night, and it folds up and down smoothly and quickly thanks to the dual piston system. Choose your own mattress since the bed accommodates most standard Full mattresses (8-10 inches thick, 60-90 lb, 54 x 75 inches) and supports up to 1000 lb (including mattress). The open bed extends 88.2 inches from the wall. Allow a clearance of 30-36 inches around the open bed. The dual-mount wall bed mechanism attaches to the floor and wall for ease of assembly and maximum stability and durability. To avoid risk of injury, the Murphy bed must be installed to wall and floor structure by a professional or qualified person. Two people are required for assembly. Installation requires attachment to wood studs or masonry, removal of the baseboard, and drilling into the floor (if disassembly is required, holes may be covered with baseboards 0.5 inches or thicker). All necessary hardware is included. The cabinet must be anchored to a wall with a minimum ceiling height of 87 inches. Do not use this product for children or pets under 50 pounds (22.7 kg). Very nice bed once you get it put together. It took me and my husband 2 days to put it together. There were parts left over so we worried that we might have missed some steps. This bed is beautiful when it is built. Just beware—-it comes in three large boxes and it’s an absolute nightmare to put together. Make sure you measure!! This this is over 8 feet tall so I didn’t put the top molding on it. It’s extremely heavy and 100 requires very minimum 2 people to assemble and put up.
