We love this island! I was a little skeptical ordering online and not being able to see it in person. The island is exactly as described. The island is sturdy, well made, and looks so nice in the kitchen. My cabinets are sarsaparilla color and Ive had trouble finding a color to match it that would have clashed (cherry colored or white). This antique black is perfect and the counter top matches the color of our dining room table and some colors in our counter. It took about 1 hour to put together by myself. Instructions were easy to follow. I plan on buying some stools to put under it soon with the overhang. One of the shallow drawers doesnt hang exactly straight but its barely noticeable.. Isabella. These Hevea butcher block countertops were just what I wanted for my new office. They were well packaged and arrived without damage. A few coats of matte poly were easy to apply. Nice smooth edges too so no additional sanding needed. They were less than half the cost of what I could get through my local big box DIY store. Glad I waited for this one to exist! Many years ago, I had a kitchen cart and when we had our countertops redone, I had a piece of the granite cut for that particular cart. As the years went on, we replaced the cart with another piece of kitchen furniture and put the piece of granite away. After some renovation to our house, we realized we had room again for a kitchen cart but now my tastes were a little bit more sophisticated and I wanted something that was really beautiful and that would match the aesthetics of the kitchen. It took a while to find this one because I needed two things, this cart had to be very sturdy in order to withstand the weight of the piece of granite, and it needed to be of a size that the granite would overhang, but only a little bit. I am so pleased to say that sometimes I just a glance to admire this cart and how beautiful it is. In preparing this review, I just was reminded that it has drawers! Maybe I’ll use them now that I found them. They open up quite far, which is actually very very nice. The shelves are great, although we haven’t used them yet. I found this very easy to put together and of course I did remove the top that it comes with to place my piece of granite on top. Great table! It took 3 of us to put together in about 2 hours. The instructions could have been better - and the photos showed screws on the underside of the table but there weren't any holes there for screws to go. The table was still able to be put together but it may not be as sturdy as it was designed to be. Otherwise, we like the look of it and it has made our kitchen more functional.. Anonymous.
