The Sea urchin green table lamp is made by a group of elderly women who live at the border of Burma and Thailand. The black terracotta lamp has a moss green reactive glaze and extrusions, each applied by hand to the side of the body, that mimic a sea urchin's profile. This green lamp is truly an artisanal piece, as the surface has a mottled look that gives the impression it has spent time underwater. We offer the Sea Urchin as a vase, as well.

H.M.S. Sovereign of the Seas, launched in 1637, was the most powerfully armed ship in the world in its day. It was originally going to have 90 guns, but King Charles I personally insisted that a ''great ship'' be built for the English Royal Navy, so it went to sea with 102 bronze guns. The vessel was the most extravagantly decorated warship in the Royal Navy, completely adorned from stern to bow with gilded carvings. The ship was later renamed Sovereign and then Royal Sovereign. It was destroyed by fire in 1697 in Chatham.

This is an "Exclusive Edition" where the model has a unique serial number etched into the hull, which allows us to identify production date, material used and all other production information of a model. Master craftsmen using historical photographs, drawings or original plans meticulously handcraft these highly detailed wood models from scratch. They are built to scale with high-grade wood such as: western red cedar, rosewood, and mahogany. They are 100% hand built individually using plank-on-frame construction method and are similar to the building of actual ships. Each model requires hundreds of hours to finish and must go through a demanding quality control process before leaving the workshop. This magnificent Sovereign of the Seas model features plank on frame, three decks, and three rows of ferocious cannons on each side of the ship. The beautiful Cecilia Mirror grandly ornaments a space with its hand-applied mix of shells affixed artfully to its frame. These form flourishes to make the decorative shell mirror seem as if it's sprouting oceanic movement. The Cecilia comes with a cleat for hanging vertically.

This mirror is absolutely breathtaking and actually looks better in person vs. online photos. I can’t imagine the time it took to painstakingly place the thousands of shells that cover the elaborate frame. It arrived in heavy Fort-Knox-like packaging to protect it and takes 2 people to unpack. I was amazed that there were only 2 lonely little shells that had come loose and is totally undetectable. The cleat hanger that’s attached is extremely strong but unfortunately the wall hanger part was missing. Perigold offered to replace it but it would take so long and I was able to purchase a set at my local hardware store. I had a handyman hang it, but I did help him to lift it because of its awkward shape and weight. I love it in my kitchen nook but it would be suitable for any room in my home. This is a conversation piece. We put this up at our beach house. We only had 8 ft ceilings in the dining area so sizing a chandelier to not look too dinky or take up too much visual space was a challenge. This beautiful fixture was exactly what the room needed. It definitely has scale to it but the design doesn't really block the room visually. Cons: this arrives in a 4 ft by 4 ft box. We were transporting from home to the beach and had to borrow a truck to get it down there. It wouldn't come close to fitting in a Yukon XL. The oyster shells are just glued on so you do have to watch out for shells falling off. It comes with extra shells and they are thickly applied so you don't really notice a few falling off.
