This king-size mattress (medium firm) in a box was a good choice! The top material is a nice grey color, with a honeycomb padding which is a nice change from the old fashion white mattresses. Once fully expanded out of the box it puffed up almost completely, however I let it sit for 24 hours as instructed prior to sleeping on it. The upper layer of pillow top has a cooling feature which actually is exactly as described! I discovered this feature the first night sleeping on it. I think this is a terrific mattress for the price. It looks and feels well-made and it's very comfortable, supportive, and soft to the touch. It was easy to slice open the plastic wrapping it came in without fear of touching the mattress with a sharp edge because a special little tool is provided to do exactly that. And it was fairly easy to maneuver it around by myself to get it centered on the bed slats.
