These beautiful chairs (in Vintage Tekwood) arrived carefully packaged and fully assembled. (The large carton is on the heavy side.) They chairs are light weight and stack easily, but they are very sturdily constructed. The chair seats are very comfortable as is and even more so with cushions -- the seats accommodate my existing cushions. The chair backs are a bit more upright than I had hoped, but they will be perfect for dining. If you are seeking chairs for reading / lounging, you might want something with a bit more slant or recline to the back. I also bought the 47" dining table (in Vintage Tekwood) to go with these chairs. The set was scheduled to be delivered on Monday, but arrived on Friday. I am a very happy customer. The tile is made from a hardboard and is mounted to a metal rectangle. The hook hangs down from the metal plate in the back and is about 2.5" from the base. A hanger is attached to the metal plate. Lots of room to hang up using a screw or paneling nail. Great for the home or office to hold keys, leashes or just about anything.
