This little table/stool is the perfect size for our small patio area. I like that it has two purposes and it's always nice to have a game out that's readily avaliable for some unexpected game time breaks. I have both chess and checkers sets in a small pouch that's nearby ready to go. We did find it a little difficult to discern to checkered spaces even though they alternate as eiter raised or recessed- so I decided to paint ours for more contrast and better game board visability. I had some acrylic paint markers from another project that I used, I chose dark grey as a contrast color to fill in every other space on the board. I applied four coats in total to get a reasonable amount of paint to fill the squares with no lines or dimples showing. The stool has a nice weight to it, but I am careful when moving it so I don't accidently chip one of the corners off. Overall, very happy with this stool and we will get a lot of use out of it!.
