EDIT 10 months later… I still love the look of the stools, but they are not standing up. I will add the most recent photos and you can see how the material on the seat has stretched and torn. I guess I’ll have to get them recovered. The material feels like leather, but it’s really just a thin vinyl, that stretches and then once it stretches, it seems to split apart. These stools are great. The seat size is a little wider than normal, which is great for some of our guests that need that extra space. The chairs themselves are sturdy and very comfortable with lots of padding on the seat. My husband put the four of them together in about 90 minutes. I was having a hard time finding counter height chairs with the right dimensions for our space. These fit and they are beautiful! Some tips for assembly read instructions and place all the screws and bolts on a paper plate. You will need a Phillips screwdriver in addition to what’s included. Remove all pieces for both chairs and lay them side by side. Check for the R (right) and L (left) pieces. Mine were labeled on the ends in black. A few had white. I mention this because the instructions do not show you what exact pieces are included and that there is a left and right piece that matters. I struggled trying to figure out why the foot pieces were so difficult and not quite fitting. Then I saw the labels. The front foot bar is shorter than sides. As a result, my first chair took an hour and because I used the glue, it got messy. Second chair I had done in 15min. Hope that helps someone else! These are sturdy and solid. Awesome barstools. Very high quality. Solid wood very sturdy. It was pretty easy to assemble. I was pretty frustrated when I open the bag of bolts and the washers and bolts were just all tossed in the bag together. Took me about 20 minutes to get them all sorted.
