This states that there is a footrest but it does not! The seat is quite high so a short person would have trouble hoisting themselves onto it. I'm sure it's because there is no footrest so you need to sit high for your feet to dangle if used as a transport chair. The cart is very sturdy and well-constructed. The only issue I have with the cart is the folding padded chairs I have do not fit in the cart fully. I have to angle them to sit in the cart, they don't lay flat against the handles. It's about 5/8" too narrow between the two rails. I have the padded folding metal chairs which are standard size.
