An excellently crafted piece of craftsmanship. If you have a child who might be hesitant of the top bunk due to a past experience of it feeling shaky, have no fear. This is a well manufactured product, all pieces connected perfectly or nearly perfect needing no additional work to get them to fit. The ladder is mounted top and bottom to the framing adding additional structural integrity. The mattress slats! While other brands try to work with less, this unit provides approx. 14 top and 14 bottom alleviating any chance or concern of sagging or mattress rippling—a virtual box spring of sorts. There is virtually no shake at all in the structure after it is built. Also, the pictures lack clarity of the under-storage space; flat long 2'x4' totes fit 3-4, side-by-side, and with nearly enough room to stack another on top!
