I was looking for a rug just inside my office deck door that would be comfortable under bare feet, dog friendly, and stay fairly low profile. This one ended up being exactly what I was hoping for. This rug looks great in our family room. Has more shimmer than what you can see in the pictures, but not mad about it (actually like it better). The pile is pretty tight and the rug is soft. The only issue with this particular brand is the rugs ship folded (as stated in the product reviews) it wasn't an issue with this design/pile, but it was with one we returned. This rug is beautiful and very soft to walk on. I placed it on a 1/2 inch pad. The color was exactly as pictured and goes perfectly with my blue and ivory furniture.My couch is a bluish gray leather and brings out the blue in the rug.
