High Quality, thick rug. Does not shed. Smooth backing. The Wayfair posted photo is a bit dark but the customer photos are closer to the true color. The base color is more cream rather than tan. Love this Rug! The website pictures do not do it justice. This is my first Wayfair purchase. I wasn't sure what to expect for quality but this is a really unique and heavy rug. The details in it are so nice. It is definitely a gray rug. I really don't see beige in it except a few specks when you look really closely. If you were hoping for more of a beige, this isn't for you. It is quite thick and doesn't work by my front door like I had planned but I like the rug so much, I will use it in a different spot..
