Make note the base needs to have weight added to it I think the minimum is 660 lbs! We used landscape fabric and some rubber weight plates then covered with rocks and then black river rock . It does exactly what it’s supposed to do and keeps our cantilever umbrella nice and secure. We initially tried filling the base with sand, but quickly realized that was a pretty tedious process, so we switched to water instead.
