Can’t live without it. Hot or cold, small or large. It’s an easy 3 step process and I love it! I suggest not using tap water to avoid hard water rings around the basin; spring or filtered water is best. I also suggest gently washing the water basin. I find this portafilter to be particularly useful for testing extractions on La Specialista machines. I have the touch model, and it works perfectly. Just a heads up: While the bowls are dishwasher-safe, the lids appreciate a little hand-washing care.

They are WONDERFUL! Despite my husband NOT listening to me and used a metal whisk on one of them (picture included) besides that, they are heavy duty, the silicone bottom is very helpful with not sliding around on the counter. I HIGHLY recommend silicone, nylon or wood utensils because they WONT scratch up the bowls. And if you really like the shiny finish, please DO NOT put in dishwasher. It arrived just as Wayfair said. The box however had a gouge in the side of the box that went through. Luckily when we opened it up the coffee maker was not damaged. Setup was very easy. I have only brewed a k-cup coffee so far which was easy and delicious. Will be using the auto brew to a carafe of coffee tomorrow morning. I expect it to be just as delicious as the cup.
