Unscrew the old shower arm from the wall 3. Clean the inside thread with a brush 4. Apply a few turns of Polytetrafluoroethylene tape on the new shower arm thread 5. Insert escutcheon plate (if loose use plyers to tighten the back of the flange or use sealant around the arm where the flange is going to stay to hold it and water seal) 7. Apply a few turns of Polytetrafluoroethylene tape to the other side of the shower arm for shower head installation.
