It contains all sorts of protection to put on the various bike parts and does an excellent job of protecting the bike. In order to fit into the rather narrow "box" one must break down the bike. Handlebar and wheels need to come off. This could be difficult unless you are well versed in bike mechanics. Once packed, it is quite narrow and tips over easily. The box came so mangled it looked like it went through a garbage disposal. The fiberglass inside was damaged, and the item looked like it had been used. We ordered this, so it would come in time for a trip we took, which it did, and although Wayfair offered to send another one, they said it would not arrive for two or three weeks. I asked for a discount, they would only give 25%, so I had to suck it up and then go to the hardware store to buy some fiberglass repair goop so if it rained it would not leak into our stuff.
