As a mom of boys, I’ve purchased and assembled several bunk beds over the years to know that these are my favorites to date. I was able to put the bunks together in an hour by myself without any issues. The bunk is sturdy, and I have no concerns about stability or the bed slats coming out, as they snap into place. The attached ladder doesn't take up floor space or block access to the bottom bunk. The height of the bottom bunk not only prevents anyone from bumping their head but also gives my boys a lounge space to read or watch TV. My only complaints are that I wish the upper side rails were higher since current mattresses are not thin, so our mattress sits flush with the rail. We use a pool noodle under the sheet along the rail for extra peace of mind. If your mattress is on the thinner side, you won’t have any issues. The second is that I wish the clearance underneath was just an inch or two taller, as it wouldn’t impact the bottom bunk and would allow larger totes to be stored under the bed. I’m still in the middle of putting together but it seems to be well made. Definitely a 2 man job on assembly, at least for this 61 year old! Got for grandchildren and I’m sure they will enjoy. Had a problem with delivery-FedEx issue, not Wayfair. This comes in 4 boxesand only 3 arrived when they were suppose to. 4th arrived 2 days later, box was damaged, so 1 piece in box was damaged. I’ll have to see if that piece will still work when I get to that part, but I don’t think it will so I will have to see about getting a replacement. Just know, all the boxes are very heavy. Update: my grandkids have slept over twice on the beds and love it! Sturdy, so I’m not worried about their safety. I love the storage in the steps! I felt like assembly was a little difficult. I would have appreciated words on some or at least the length of screws to use on parts where there were 2 different length of screws in the same bag. I think this is a really nice bunk bed. Directions were easy to follow to set up. It is super sturdy. No creaking or wobbling. We have low ceilings so we needed the low profile.
