These were easy to break apart, but if you do it with a knife, then when you score it and break it, they don’t always break in a completely straight line, which meant at the seams I did have to do a little bit of caulking with gray caulk to make it look a little bit better. I did accidentally put these at a slight angle, so I’m not sure how long they’ll stay up, but the quality looks pretty decent for the price and has held up behind our coffee maker!. Deanna. I really like the look and it was relatively easy to apply. Once you get the first line straight, the rest went quickly. There is a slight color variation that appealed to me. I wanted a quiet background but not solid or completely boring. It's not tile, but not vinyl either. We were able to score most pieces using a utility knife but used a Dremel to cut around outlets.
