It took a few months to get up the desire to tackle this project. The instructions were pretty straight forward, mainly pictures without words. I'd say assembly was on the easier side. Instructions said it would take 4 to 6 people to assemble, I did it completely by myself with no issues. I think it took me about 10 total hours over 2 days to completely assemble. There were several parts that were not marked with the same letters as in the instructions but easy enough to figure out. The "V" posts were actually "W" posts and a couple other issues like that. There was also one length of wood that was about 1" too long and I had to trim it off to assemble. a nice looking gazebo and I'd probably purchase it again.. William. Sat Sep 07 2024

Great looking pergola with easy to follow instructions. Took two adults about 7 hours to build with breaks in between. We also used the recommended expansion bolts to secure it to our cement patio. The wood is very soft so it does dent and scratch easily while we were building it but it doesnt look bad at all. We love our 11’ x 11’ cedar wood gazebo with black steel roof. Our three-piece furniture set fits well and allows room for the square 28” x 28” propane gas fire pit we have ordered. Love this gazebo. The wood is solid cedar and it is pre-finished in a nice cedar color. I'm not sure if the finish would last in the elements (we live in Canada where the winters are harsh) so we put a good cedar stain on it prior to winter. My husband also built a cedar louvered privacy wall on the one side so we stained the whole thing the same colour. It was fairly simple to assemble and took two of us a weekend to put up.. Lorri. Took one person 3 days to put up. Very easy with the instructions. Looks great. Very solid. Will buy curtains to block out sunweather. I bought this somewhat hesitantly due to Wayfair's return policy, the amount and weight of all pieces, and the careful packing into 3 boxes. That would be hell to return, especially at my own cost. Nonetheless, I didn't return it and it is now full constructed. First of all, I assembled this over the course of about 5 days, mostly by myself (which I understand is not advised by the instructions). I needed my neighbor's assistance and two kids to help me hoist the vented top portion of the structure onto the four posts. Second, the instructions are clear about 75% of the time. There was a lot of trial and error with a few items, which I will list here: 1. Step 6 calls for D1, but does not clearly show which side is up. Flat side should be down. 2. In step 11, the aforementioned hoisting of the vented portion, it really doesn't appear that those 4 pieces of D1 will hold such a heavy piece, but it does. 3. In step 18, it calls for sliding the roof pieces into grooves without securing them, which happens in step 19. I HIGHLY ADVISE TO INSTALL THE ROOF PIECES ON ONE SIDE ONLY AND SECURE EACH IMMEDIATELY. As a matter of safety, these pieces are extremely sharp and some slid out of their grooves, crashing to the ground. Anyone standing below the unsecured roof pieces could've been severely cut/injured if one slid off. This happened a few times (slid off, not injuries) and it was terrifying. Again, having others assist here to hold them in place while someone secured them is important. Wind could also cause these to fall. 4. Some of the same pieces are slightly different in length and this may cause a few issues with some pieces fitting (for example, I had trouble with the Q pieces that secure the roof pieces). 5. Step 22 was very unclear to me. There are 2 tracks for the bug screen and the curtain, but which one goes on which track is up to you. I used the outside track for the curtain. Also, when installing each, ensure the zipper portions meet in the middle of each side (not at the posts). Don't install H9 until you have all of the curtains properly installed, or you'll have to remove those pieces to make adjustments. 6. Finally, also in step 22, H7, H8 and H10 are to be installed and it is not clear how or to what. 3 sets of each go on each post and attach to the eyelets of the bug screen and curtain to keep those from blowing. Photos of this have been added here. All in all, we like this structure but the fabrication of the materials is far from exact and the instructions need to be improved.. Tim. Downey, CA. I am so happy with this Gazebo, I bought a large sectional L shaped patio couch and there was still plenty of room on the side and front to protect the furniture from the elements and provide shade. Made of Steel and very heavy great construction. It is anchored down with bolts and will not get blown around with winds as high of 60 miles per hour. I got the 10x 12 on sale (end of summer or Labor Day) for about $550 after applying coupons from a previous purchase. What a deal! This gazebo is beautiful and well rated. It came in one very heavy box (nearly 500 lbs!) so be aware you’ll likely want to be home during the delivery so you can ask them to place it somewhere convenient for you until assembly. You’ll be unboxing and moving it piece wise. I hired a handyman to assemble it after reading all the reviews saying it takes 6+ hours and the assembly instructions said it takes 6-8 to put on the roof. The handyman came with one other person. It only took them 2.5 hours! That’s about the 150 minutes the instructions said but with less people. Disclaimer that I read many reviews he has a lot of experience assembling gazebos. I also noted they went a little out of order. They got the roof frame up first before installing the roof panels. I’m so pleased with this gazebo! Eventually, I’ll get black netting and curtains and solar cafe lights for aesthetics. But it already looks great! Update after 9 months. I still love this gazebo! This is probably my favorite purchase from Wayfair to date. It was very easy to string solar fairy lights around for a magical glow in the evenings. It’s held up great through two storms.
