I hadnt realized until after installed, is get a size that will fit inside rather than aboveoutside of the window frame just as you would if getting basic blinds. If installed aboveoutside of window frame they leave about an inch of space, lessening its blackout design and also giving less privacy. Theyre actually a really good product for any room in your home. Instead of dealing with old fashion blinds and curtains, these are the best of both in one, easy to install and use product. Plastic handletab snaps on to bottom making closing and opening simple just by using the tab, pushing upward or downward. Third year with these, still functional, still comfortable. What other reviewers said about fading is correct. I got the bright blue and black ones, and they faded right away to a light blue and grey color, except on the back and under the pillow. In summer they are set up in a place where they get direct sun about 4 hours/day. I figure they'll be less likely to be stolen now, and they are still very comfortable to sit in.
