This commercial grade downlight is ideal for new construction when specified with a 4" x 2 1/8" square or octagonal J box. It is also conveniently UL Listed for wet conditions only indoor wet locations such as above a shower. For exterior they would need to be installed in damp location such as a covered porch, soffit, etc.. A place where the fixtures would not receive direct saturation.

Honestly I haven’t had the chance to install this yet but I have several friends that have used these before and it didn’t seem to be difficult. These are beautiful. Make sure you have right bulbs before hanging them. I bough these because they said max hanging height was 72”. They only gave extensions for 66”. Had to get another extension rod and reinstall but in end the product is just what I wanted.
