I bought this to store my pens, markers, and map pencils in. I am sooooo pleased I did because if I bought a "pencil pouch" it would've been full of fragments of the pencils & spill all inside my backpack, but since this is a box, that does not happen. Although the chips of the pencils still collect at the bottom nothing a little water can't fix, unlike how those cloth or fabric "pencil pouches" can't be rinsed out unless you dry them, and afterward they just feel strange.
