The painting is smaller than I had envisioned, but that's my fault. The dimensions were for the picture and the frame; I should have realized that. However, my husband thinks it's the perfect size for a wall in our living room. It replaced a framed photo of the Grand Canyon that we no longer noticed, and this Victorian watercolor is more apropos for our Arts & Crafts decor. It is a lovely painting by the artist, however the gloss on it is terrible. It looks like a third an inch of dried Vaseline on the art with grooves on it. I hate how glossy it is. It catches the light and glares back so it’s hard to see the painting. In some parts there are globs of gloss that look like they were accidentally made. It’s got streaks and lines of texture and it’s so gross and distracting from the image itself. The frame is also overboard huge and distracting from the painting. What a shame.
