This sink exceeded expectations both visually and functionally. The 16-gauge stainless steel feels thick and durable. The deep basin easily accommodates large pots, pans, and baking sheets, making it very practical for everyday kitchen use. The included accessories are a big bonus. Just received. Nice sink but the "sound deadening" material is not as pictured. It pictures what looks like a sprayed on material on the entire underside of the sink. It is, in reality, some black foam material that is glued on the bottom (large piece) along with 3' x 3' pieces of the foam randomly adhered to the basin sides.
