This gazebo is going to look incredible when I get it done. We have had some rain and needing to stain our deck, it has taken some time to get it in. Now that it's installed, I'm VERY happy with the overall look and quality of the gazebo. It's attractive, sturdy and a nice addition to my back yard. I do feel obligated to give a mild warning to prospective buyers: - When the instructions say 2+ people are required at certain stages they mean it. DON'T do what I did (assembled the posts and beams upside down and flipped it over). Ripped bolt anchors, bent metal, lots of cursing. All fixable but not a good time. - The instructions only include pictures and there were more than a couple times I interpreted them incorrectly . I ended up having to remove and re-install parts after having that "ah-hah" moment . Not the end of the world but it adds time. - Nuts and bolts are made of soft metal. You WILL have lots of stripped bolts if you use a power drill ( a must if you want to speed things up) and are not super careful. Good news is Sojag provides lots of extra parts. But... - Having so many extra parts means you'll constantly second guess whether your missing something; especially since there are holes that don't need anything. Update- Feb 2023. This gazebo does not hold up To snow Load. The edges fall Apart when removing the snow from the roof. Very disappointed! I hired someone to put this up on our deck. We ordered the 14x28 Purpleleaf Gazebo. We were looking for an easy maintenance option as our prior one (much smaller) was cedar and always needed cleaned and re-stained. We are extremely happy with the quality and look of this gazebo. It is massive but exactly what we wanted- an outdoor living space protected from the elements! The instructions could use a lot of work. It doesn’t appear they actually built it themselves when writing them. They needed more actual written instructions and not just pictures. My husband is very handy so of course figured it all out but it took us both looking over the steps multiple times to be sure we were installing the correct pieces in the correct way. It is critical that you have a tall ladder- we have a little giant ladder and it was perfect. You also need a 2nd person on hand (that was me) as some things just can’t be done alone. I personally had to poor a concreete slab for the hottub. for the Gazebo itself it took me the weekend to install it with my brothers help. def a 2 man job and I wouldnt expect to instlal it by yourself. Im writing this on vacation so I will have to get a pic when I get home and edit my review later. But IO highly reccomend this to anyone that needs some shade from the sun and has a yard to fit it.. I assisted in the unpackaging and handing of screws. I must tell you everything was packed securely. The components are of the utmost quality. He found the instructions easy to follow, a bonus for me. The steel structure has a protective coating, excellent for outdoor maintenance. I love the total protection provided by the superior-quality mosquito netting curtains. Mosquitoes are not my friends. The color is elegant grey and black.
