Now that it's installed, I'm VERY happy with the overall look and quality of the gazebo. It's attractive, sturdy and a nice addition to my back yard. I do feel obligated to give a mild warning to prospective buyers: - When the instructions say 2+ people are required at certain stages they mean it. DON'T do what I did (assembled the posts and beams upside down and flipped it over). Ripped bolt anchors, bent metal, lots of cursing. All fixable but not a good time. - The instructions only include pictures and there were more than a couple times I interpreted them incorrectly . I ended up having to remove and re-install parts after having that "ah-hah" moment . Not the end of the world but it adds time. - Nuts and bolts are made of soft metal. You WILL have lots of stripped bolts if you use a power drill ( a must if you want to speed things up) and are not super careful. Good news is Sojag provides lots of extra parts. But... - Having so many extra parts means you'll constantly second guess whether your missing something; especially since there are holes that don't need anything. I drink coffee here in the mornings, and we occasionally eat dinner here. There is plenty of space for friends to socialize, and everyone has complimented my new gazebo. Right now, my wife and I are enjoying a glass of wine while sitting here on a perfect evening and watching the sunset. I'm so glad I got it! I can't say much about the assembly because I had it done by someone else. I believe I could have if I had more time in my life. I can say it took about 6 hours for two guys who do this for a living. We had it bolted to the concrete patio with wedge anchors, and it appears to be very secure. We've had some pretty severe thunderstorms recently, and I'm not concerned about this thing moving. I purchased an outdoor fan that hangs nicely from the ceiling hook. Someone else said they put up some screening and used magnets to keep it in place around the part of the roof that raises up. I purchased some screen but have yet to put it to use. Now that we have this gazebo up, which we enjoy, we occasionally work outside when we work from home. Having that option is wonderful. With the help of a lovely outdoor rug and some lovely outdoor furniture, we were able to make the gazebo quite comfortable. In order to hang out there at night, we also installed lighting. We enjoy entertaining as well, and this is always a hit at get-togethers and barbecues. Upon reinstalling it on the gazebo, it very easily ripped. We only got 4-5 months use out of the cloth roof and the company would not back this product. They said it was normal after being out in the sun. We have had other gazebos and got 3-5 YEARS out of them before replacing. The frame itself is the best we have ever had. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Sojag canopy parts are well constructed. Very nice finishes on every piece. It would be pretty hard to complete this project without a helper. The assembly can be done in one full day. Became quicker construction when the impact gun was used, however we are used to that tool and knew how to not over tighten. We used a square early on to keep the upright supports square. It should be emphasized in the directions when to final tighten screws. The cross supports which secure the roofing material should NOT be tightened until all screws are installed from above which hold the roofing material down. UPDATE: the gazebo only leaked that first time the day after it was built. I think the roof panels were a bit warped from shipping and straightened out over time. Now it doesn’t leak at all and is exactly what I hoped for. Very disappointed. It was delivered 10 days late and leaks. Easy to put together and looks gorgeous but leaks everywhere when it rains. It is on a flat surface and was installed correctly. I plan on getting rubber gaskets to put the screws in that attach the roof pieces and hopefully that helps. This is a fabulous addition for a cover on our side porch. It was a challenge to put it together, but We completed the task in a day with just 2 people. This is a larger undertaking than building a dresser but with the right tools anyone can do it. I personally had to poor a concreete slab for the hottub. for the Gazebo itself it took me the weekend to install it with my brothers help. def a 2 man job and I wouldnt expect to instlal it by yourself. Im writing this on vacation so I will have to get a pic when I get home and edit my review later. But IO highly reccomend this to anyone that needs some shade from the sun and has a yard to fit it..
