I enjoy soaking and using the jets after a long day working on the yard. I sometimes use it with the water temp on the cooler side to be refreshing on hot days. The cover has not held up. I have never owned or used a basketball hoop so selecting one for my kids was tough. I read so many reviews that it eventually seemed that unless you spend 1000 bucks, you dont get quality. My initial hope to spend less than 300 had to be forgotten- it seems that all those come from the same Asian factory and have the same issues. Then I read somewhere about Gorilla. The positive reviews were much more numerous than elsewhere and so I decided to spend more but be sure both my tall teenager and my shorter girl will be able to use it and enjoy it. The bow arrived in good shape. You really need to be two for the assembly and you need a wrench with some add ons that I actually do not own. Luckily there were handymen in our house and so borrowed theirs… We assembled it with my 15 yrs old son on our driveway. Double-checking every step not to make an mistake took us 2 hours in total. The assembly is not hard and the instructions were pretty clear. The hardest part came at the end, when tightening the screws of the basket rim. This required a bit of patience. Also, be sure to get something sturdier to lay the pole on than just the regular trashbin like we did. At some point the weight of the hoop pushed through the top of the bin:). But we moved quickly and saved the situation. Moving the hoop is safer with two people. Using the handke to change the height from a kids height to a teenage height is so easy that my little daughter can do it herself. The hoop looks nice. I had some buyers remorse after I purchased this and read some additional reviews about how it had trouble heating up. I didn't realize it didn't use a standard electric spa heater. When I saw "Friction Heating" I thought that was in addition to normal electric heating and was a motor heat recovery unit and an energy saving feature. This was very new to me as the last time I bought a spa was 30 years ago. After installing and using it for going on 4 months, I must say I am impressed with the function and performance so far. It does take around 24 hours to get to from 75 to 100 degrees but once it got there it maintains the set temperature very well. Some of the reviews mentioned that it had a hard time heating in cold weather and maybe that is true for them but here in Florida I haven't had any problems even during some of the 30 degree cold fronts we had. The spa shell is very solid and seems durable. It has decent number of jets and water movement and we are really enjoying this spa. Now for my observations on what could be better. As some of the other reviews have mentioned the outer shell is very thin vinyl panels. Not a problem so far but they are pretty flimsy and hurricane force winds might cause them to buckle. The pump and control access panel is this same vinyl material and it is held in place by screws so to access anything you have to unscrew it rather than via a hinged door access like most spas. The single speed pump works fine but it would be nice to be able to add a little more massage power to the jets. A two speed pump would be preferable. Lastly, the instruction manual should be specific to a single spa model and not cover multiple models where some of the functions and features aren't pertinent to the one you are working with. Would I recommend this spa? For the solid inner shell, user friendly controls, and the included accessories, in this price range, all delivered free to your home in less than a week?
