Purchased this during a kitchen remodel when we determined that we needed a make-up air duct. We had purchased a Thermador Hood for our kitchen when we realized it likely was going to pull out to negative pressure in the home. This has worked great with the pressure switch that automatically opens the damper when the pressure builds in duct. Only had a problem with the pressure sensor on install, found out quickly from tech support that it can only be mounted upright, we had not. The recirculation kits performs multi-stage filtration and removes the odor from the gas and smoke that is sucked into the range hood, which removes harmful components and pollutants in the smoke, and effectively solves the problem of using range hoods in houses where the range hood cannot be exhausted. Do not try to clean the charcoal filter in the recirculation kit as it can not be cleaned, Please change the charcoal filter every 4-6 months (depending on hood usage)
