NuTone® interlocked make-up air dampers provide outside air when required to keep the air in the home fresher by allowing the range hood to operate at optimum levels. Slave dampers (MD6S, MD8S, and MD10S) are interlocked to the main automatic or universal make-up air damper and open in unison for synchronized operation. They close, along with the main damper, as soon as the range hood is powered off. Slave dampers can be ganged together to provide a cost-effective means to provide for higher volumes of make-up air.

this is for make-up air usage, it's working fine. Siqi. Fri Jun 21 2024

10-inch, 6-inch, and 8-inch round, universal make-up air damper kit for use with any Zephyr range hood motor operating over 300 CFM and up to 1,200 CFM, 600 CFM, and 1,000 CFM. When range hoods exhaust air out of your home, negative air pressure is created unless fresh outdoor air replaces the exhausted air. Zephyr’s make-up air damper is designed to balance the air pressure in your home by automatically opening it to allow fresh air while the range hood is operating.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We replaced our old(1999) system with Bosch and couldn't be happier. New system is much quieter. We are using our system much more because it is easy to hear and talk while using. When in use, the Bosch is taller and seems to catch more of the smoke and odors. Very pleased with our upgrade.. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] love the 800 Series downdraft we paired wiht our Bosch Induction cooktop. When not in use it is flush with the stovetop which helps create a flat seamless flow on the countertop. When we have used it, it works very well. This product features a totally enclosed condenser motor and a large, double suction blower wheel to quietly move air. A small wheel turning very fast will create more noise than a large wheel turning more slowly for a given airflow. This Whisper-ceiling bathroom fan uses a wide blower wheel that moves a large amount of air at reduced RPMs. The blower wheel is also designed to draw air in from both sides, which helps keep the noise down, as there is more area for the air to enter the wheel. In fact, it is quiet enough that you might not even know it's on.

We love it. It moves so much air.. Britney. Longwood, FL. Sat Jun 27 2020
