I got this range hood for my casita. And it was the perfect size, it arrived quickly and was easy to put together. I like that it has two options a ducted version and a ductless one if you don’t want to make a hole in your wall. A thing to note is it doesn’t come with all the necessary items to install perfectly. It was missing the charcoal filter that goes inside the range hood (it makes you purchase separate) so that’s why I gave it 4 stars. Other than that it’s exactly as described.. Yulitza. I bought this insert hood for a custom cabinet enclosure, and it has worked out beautifully. The 21-inch size is compact enough to fit perfectly under a standard 12-inch cabinet depth, which was exactly what I needed for my smaller kitchen layout. Despite its compact size, the 400 CFM blower is quite powerful. It easily clears away smoke, steam, and strong cooking odors on the lower speeds. It runs very quietly on the first two settings, though the highest speed does get a bit noisy—but it clears the air so fast that I rarely need to keep it on high for long. The built-in dual-level LumiLight LED lights provide great, uniform visibility over my cooktop. So far so good. Install was relatively easy, but because of its size, having a few extra folks to help hold it in place would be a good idea. My wife and I managed, but it was a bit tricky for just us 2 folks to install and we almost gave up. The gesture control seems a bit finicky, and we can't get it to work reliably. Maybe with time we'll figure it out. The buttons work fine though, and the remote control is a nice touch. The stainless-steel finish, display, and led lights look great. Definitely an upgrade from the Broan powerpack it replaced. As far as noise, it seems to be as loud as our old Broan PM350 we replaced. The grates tend to vibrate a little, so that with the fan contributes to the noise. I was hoping for something quieter, but it's no worse than the unit it replaced, so not a deal breaker. As for airflow, it seems a bit stronger than the broan unit it replaced, which was rate for only 350cfm. This one is rated at 900cfm at max speed, but i don't have a way to measure/confirm that. The fan cage seems bigger, and it's been doing a good job so far of keeping the smells/vapors out of the kitchen while cooking.
