These sat off the wall more than I expected. And my electrician had an issue with getting them to sit flush on the wall. They kept leaning forward slightly. This very well could just have been my electrician or because it was replacing another light that may not have been a great setup for this light. I ended up taking them down and using another light. Great! this has adjustable arm but it really isn't adjustable but comes with one pole to attach so it is either one size or the other. Which if you think about it where was it going to adjust to - i guess it could have slidden within itself but then when you extended it would be smaller. I love the way this sconce looks. However, the quality doesn’t match up to the price. The glass didn’t fit over the brass base of the light assembly, but luckily the brass piece was not attached. In addition, there is a plastic screw-on piece that holds the glass in place, but it’s impossible to put on unless you have a certain tool, but it wasn’t included and I didn’t have anything on hand that would work.
