How about filling them with cascading flowers or streaming shells loosely onto the table from within? Also lovely for use in weddings and events. A most versatile shell! Please note - the edges of the shell have been slightly shaped (as best possible) from their natural state to prevent injury. The shells in their natural state can cause injury. This is not a defect and the shell isn't damaged. Processing sometimes involves edges being sawn off entirely to reduce injury. Also, each conch shell will have a visible hole or slit on its back. This is called a harvest hole. The harvest hole is required by US Customs and FL Fish & Wildlife to meet mandatory guidelines for importing this particular type of shell. These are beautiful! I bought two to hang over a long dining table with 12 foot ceilings and wow, what a difference it has made in the room. My husband had no issues installing the fixture. What was time consuming was hanging the shells. I did purchase 2 lights, and one of the lights did have a number of broken shells. I had to use the extras in both packages to try to complete the one chandelier. I did reach out to Wayfair about the number of broken shells and replacement pieces are in the process of being sent. One chandelier had minimal breakage which made hanging the shells less time consuming. They do sounds like windchimes if there is a breeze or hit by a vent blowing air, but nice.
