I finally got around to installing a new door to my closet, and this one did the trick! The 3 panel solid wood construction with MDF surface finish panels is amazingly beautiful and sure to be durable for many years to come. The installation was easy, but does require some carpentry skill to install the hinges, knob and latch holes, and mount squarely. The Prehung doors took quite a bit to get them up and fitted and screwed in. But they're in and they look good. The prehung part is not a solid frame, but pieces that have to be assembled, screwed together and mounted. We got it done and did 3 doors. It's nice having doors when company comes. The size and hinges are good but there was a chip out of the frame, rough edges and drippy primer. Square in the frame and easy to install. I really like the weight of this door; not too light. Needed some sanding and some black goo removed. Edges around the hinges are rough like could have used sharper cutting tools. Painting this door is odd in that the paint doesn't stick very well and will peel off easily on a 2nd coat if you need to remove small debris while you're painting.. Mary. Beavercreek, OR. I ordered 2 of these and they arrived in one piece. The freight shipping box was very protective. The doors are very nice and high quality. I did get one for a pocket door, and due to the raised panels on the sides, it moved a bit bumpy on the track. Not a big deal, but not a flat surface. Happy with my purchase.. Natasha.
