The Prehung doors took quite a bit to get them up and fitted and screwed in. But they're in and they look good. The prehung part is not a solid frame, but pieces that have to be assembled, screwed together and mounted. We got it done and did 3 doors. It's nice having doors when company comes. Nothing is prepped for installation. You get a slab door and two boxes of parts. You will have to hire a carpenter to do all the drilling and assembly. The top and bottom horizontal portions of the doors are slightly recessed and might cause the vertical panels to catch on any quarter-round shoe moulding if you hang the doors close to the floor. These look great, but my Contractor said they were a pain to install. I bought two sets for two different rooms. One set was perfectly fine. The second set of doors arrived boat. The level confirmed that the door frame was plumb, but these doors were not cut straight at the factory. Our product package contains only one door slab. Hardware kit, door frame, hinges, etc. are not included. The door panel is FULLY assembled, no need to assemble it again. The door can be painted. Before painting, sand the surface with fine sandpaper of 320 mesh or above, and then paint with water-based paint or lacquer for better adhesion.
