The door is not smooth across the top/bottom two inches. The vertical and horizontal pieces of material do not line up exactly, which creates two different thicknesses for the door. This causes an issue as there is a gap between the thin part of the door and the guiders that you have to install, and thus the door is wobbly then you open it. I am thoroughly impressed by these doors. They are beautiful and high quality. We have not hung them yet so I will provide an update with pictures after install. We ordered two sets of these. They are massive and heavy and arrived in what looked like a carefully constructed customized wooden crate. No damages and in impeccable condition. The cabinet itself is lovely - well made and sturdy. The directions, however, suck. There are no directions with the box at all. There is a video you can view if you go to the listing on Wayfair - but there is no narration on it AT ALL. We finally had to go to YouTube and look up a video on Softclose drawers to figure it out - and my husband was an Industrial Arts teacher and has built furniture. Overall good product but there were no assembly instructions (just a handful of pictures to attempt to follow) and one of the pieces came partially pre-assembled and the hardware was assembled backwards.
