I have used these on every carpet in the house. I have wood floors, and its difficult to keep the carpets from sliding. I finally got my rug pad after it was delivered to my neighbor. I had to wait an extra day, after the first delay in delivery, but I got them. They were wider than 3 ft., my carpets are 39" so I had to cut about 2" off the width, no big deal.
