Beautiful finish on the table top, slight texture but grain was well matched. Very heavy and sturdy, a perfect fit for 6 dining room chairs. I have a square room for it, so at long last I got rid of the rectangle table and put this one in its place. After a few months, we notices several scratches in the finish, which is super shiny. I applied a coat of water-based polyurethane over it to protect it. Not really happy with having to do this considering how much I paid for it. The guys that delivered and assembled it were great..
