The telescoping rail system is a great benefit. We have not yet unpacked the individual panels as we are waiting a remodel to be complete first. We are for certain going to have to shorten the panels; if this is a bad experience I will come back after 4/10 and update the review along with appropriate star reduction. So far, so good.. Laurel. These curtain rods just arrived and look great in our living room with our new curtains! The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the rod is a little cheaper looking than the beautiful finials. Obviously not a deal breaker, since the rod is mostly covered anyway. And just a note, the metallic highlights on the cocoa color are more golden. In the photos, they looked reddish brown/coppery. Still a gorgeous finial and still worked in my room.
